Pioneering Robotic Joint Replacement in the Mid-South
In 2011, Dr. Dalal recognized that robotic technology offered transformative accuracy for joint replacement patients. He was instrumental in introducing the Mako robotic-arm assisted surgical system to St. Francis Hospital, becoming the first surgeon in the region to perform robotic-assisted joint replacements.
Across more than 2,500 robotic surgeries, Dr. Dalal has utilized 3D CT scan modeling to tailor implant positioning within fractions of a millimeter, helping patients retain healthy bone and recover with natural joint stability.
