Before Your Visit: What to Bring
Please bring the following items to your first consultation:
- Photo Identification: A government-issued driver's license or ID card.
- Insurance Cards: Your primary and secondary medical insurance cards.
- Medication List: A complete list of all current prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosages.
- Previous Imaging & Records: Any existing X-ray, MRI, or CT discs and written radiology reports related to your condition.
- Referral Information: Physician referral documentation if required by your insurance plan or HMO.
- Worker's Compensation / Claim Info: If your visit is related to a workplace or vehicular injury, bring your claim number, date of injury, and adjuster contact details.

Insurance & Payment Guidance
Tri-State Orthopaedics participates with Medicare and numerous commercial plans. Copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles are collected at the time of service according to your insurance contract.

Your initial consultation typically includes:

- A focused physical examination evaluating joint mobility, strength, and alignment.
- Digital X-rays performed in-office when current imaging is not already available.
- A clear explanation of your diagnosis and discussion of non-surgical and surgical options.
- An individualized care plan with time to have all your questions answered.
